THE STORY BEHIND THE SOFTWARE
Verifind:
The Problem
Original Story & Design
Verifind had built a platform that helped identify companies based on culture fit and soft skills, not just their work experience listed on their resume.
Their homepage led with a familiar headline: "The Future of AI-Powered Hiring."
Unfortunately, every hiring platform claims to be AI-powered. Instead of highlighting the outcome, the message focused on the mechanism.
The visual design reinforced the issue.
Generic icons, abstract statistics, and corporate SaaS patterns made Verifind blend into a crowded market.

Original Branding
Finding the Story
Verifind so far was focused on what they did, but not why it mattered.
So I shifted the conversation from features to the hiring manager's experience.
As applications pile up, candidates begin to blur together with the same degrees, buzzwords, and polished resumes.
After hours of reviewing applications, hiring teams still don't know what matters most: who this person is.
I realized something… Verifind was helping companies see the human behind the resumes. That insight became the foundation for the new message:
Hire a human, not a resume.

Then, I Design.
Once the message was clear, the design had a job to do: make people feel the difference between reviewing resumes and understanding humans.
The new design shifted the focus from technology to people.
The hero visual featured a candidate breaking out of a resume, reinforcing the idea that there's more to a person than their work history.
The brand palette moved away from muted purples in favor of bolder, more distinctive colors that felt fresh, human, and ownable.
Every visual element supported the same idea: there's more to a person than their work history.

One Cohesive Story
The new message gave Verifind something they didn't have before: a story people could rally behind.
Instead of leading with AI and features, they could lead with a belief that resonated with hiring managers and applicants: people are more than their resumes. Now that’s something worth rallying behind.
The tagline, messaging, website strategy, and visual direction all aligned around the same idea, creating a foundation the team could build on as the platform evolved.
When I unveiled the project, you could feel the excitement from the team:
"It gets to the root of what we’re really offering."
"This is F****** Incredible"
Now that we had a powerful story, the rest of the brand materials could be crafted around it. A pitch deck, one-pager, LinkedIn banner, and more.
